Casting Bars

If a player’s lag is 50 ms or more they can increase their DPS by using stopcasting macros and a casting bar add-on. When a spell is cast, what typically happens, is that it completes on the WoW server and then after some amount of lag it shows as being complete on the player’s PC. With a stopcasting macro, the spell is ‘stopped’ on the PC after it has completed on the WoW server and then another one is immediately cast. This enables lag to be overcome. There are a number of add-ons which have a casting time bar which shows the lag in red, when it is in the red the player then casts another spell with a macro like:

#showtooltip spellname
/stopcasting
/cast spellname

Replace all spells with this macro, as when casting shadowbolts the player then needs to be able to use the above macro to cast whatever spell in the DoT rotation has completed. The player will no longer be able to spam a spell as each press of the key or mouse click will stop the previous spell.

Quartz is one of the popular Ace add-ons that shows a casting bar with lag.

Some practise with this may be required, it is suggested that Dr Boom in Netherstorm, near Area 52, be used to practise on, as he has a lot of hit points and doesn’t move. Just make sure you cast outside the range of the little bombs!

was will ich damit sagen?
man holt sich quartz und drückt den makro knopf genau dann, wenn der castbalken in die lagzone kommt... der cast wird abgebrochen, geht aber trotzdem durch und man beginnt früher den neuen zu casten... bei nem durchshcnittsping von 200ms bringt das gannze ne reduzierung der castzeit von 2.5 auf 2.3 sekunden... also eben die 200ms... was wiederum 8% mehr dmg sind...

anzumerken ist halt, dass man sich sehr stark auf die castbar konzentrieren muss... 2 buttons wären also besser... 1 für normal sb und einer mit makro wenn man genug zeit hat...

Gibts sowas auch für Krieger

Hab das Problem das wenn die Framerate einbricht (AOE Phasen) ich mir mit den Globalcooldown irgendwie Spells blokiere.

D.h. normalerweise werden durch Spells die man während einer Globalcooldownphase drückt einfach nicht gezählt und geben nur die lsutige Fehlermeldung aus. Bei Frameraten unter 10 kommt es mir so vor also ob ich bei jedem klick den Globalcooldown verlängere aber nichts ausgeführt.

Das heißt mit Buttonsmashing mach ich im Endeffekt dann nur mehr Autoattack.

Es gibt Leute, die noch normale Spells casten ?

Glaube, ausser Instants sind alle meine Keybindings auf mindestens dieses Macro gebunden. Und es hat schon Leben gerettet... Außerdem spielt sich mit ner Latenz von 300-400ms ansonsten etwas schlechter, und ich will nicht dadurch, dass es bei mir keine gescheite Internetverbindung gibt, in meinen Fähigkeiten als Heiler schlechter gemacht werden. Sprich Lag -> Heal kommt nicht an... obwohl man rechtzeitig reagiert hat.
